We adore the holidays and all things bright and shiny. So when Jaimi of Fiore Beauty asked us to design their holiday card we jumped! We featured Fiore Beauty on our blog a few months back that you can read here. Jaimi wanted a feeling that was vintage, cheeky, beauty inspired and festive and bubbly just like the holidays. With some custom illustrations of makeup, brushes, bobby pins and of course some bubbly champagne, here was the result.

S.W.A.K.

We even got to feature a scarlet red kiss print as a sign off inside of their holiday card, which is very appropo if you know Jaimi! Being able to design for and collaborate with other talented people within the wedding industry is such a delight for us and definitely something we want more of for 2011!

For our final installment of our Persimmon & Plum modern Spanish wedding design in Rancho Santa Fe we’re featuring the Fruit & Nut bar and luxe purple and peach wedding invitation.

When holiday feasts come into mind the flavorful memories of Fall harvest fruits, such as persimmons and plums, and bowls of tempting warm nuts were always present. Geometric milk glass bowls that were raised on cut glass risers featured these fares atop of an antique wooden chest and were displayed along with terracotta roof tiles sprinkled with white blooms to create a patterned backdrop. This gorgeous bowl of persimmons would be beautiful as a centerpiece as well for your Thanksgiving or Fall table to display your table number from.

Milkglass bowls were used for rich vibrant persimmons, black plums and mixed nuts. I used curved terra cotta tiles to create a patterned texture decorated with large white blooms as a backdrop.

I love mixing texture on texture and used green glass as risers for this bowl of persimmon which would make a beautiful centerpiece to hang your table number from.

Peach & Plum Wedding Invitation

Like a piece of fine jewelry, an invitation should sparkle and entice your guests as to what’s to come. Spanish textures and shapes mixed with Pucci inspired retro patterns were used to create this folding invitation. Closed like a book, when opened threads of copper and silver chain and plum silk ribbon allowed it to fold open to reveal the words inside. Real turquoise and copper beads were embellished onto the front of the invitation for a luxurious and rich cover to this wedding invitation book nestled inside of thick white envelopes featuring soft peach liners.

Our modern Moorish Opulence and Tropical Luxe Hawaiian style wedding invitations featured!

We’re so excited to share that two of our wedding invitations have been featured in Italian Elle Sposa, the Italian wedding magazine. Our luxurious laser cut and pearl adorned Moorish Opulence wedding invitation and our richly illustrated Hawaiian style Tropical Luxe wedding invitations were featured along side other Italian designers showing that wedding invitations know no boundaries. Inspired by fashion and interior design trends, our invitations hopefully inspire not only a bride in the selection of her wedding invitations but destination wedding location as well.

After living in Italy for some time my heart yearns for their style of fashion and grace which makes this feature such a great honor for me. Now if we can only get an Alchemy designed Italian destination wedding featured in Elle Sposa next year in addition to our wedding invitations, that would make me una ragazza felice!

When I think of Fall the sunlight always comes to mind, and how different it looks and feels, as if brighter and crisper, when shining through the falling leaves and against warm terracotta walls. This was my inspiration for a recent photoshoot  for a modern twist on an opulent Thanksgiving or Fall Wedding tablescape. I absolutely love mixing looks and styles and love to show people that they need not be afraid to combine all of theirs loves together.  For this look I combined warm peach terracotta, rich black plums, vibrant persimmon, warm wool plaids, geometrical graphics and clean modern green glass. Here is a sneak peak of this modern Fall tablescape’s inspiration.

Designing luxury wedding invitations is a form of art…

Ever since I can remember I’ve been passionate about drawing and the feeling of putting pencil to paper and the feeling as forms take shape. Creating custom wedding invitations and stationery was such a natural progression and gives me so much pleasure and joy! Working with gorgeous textured papers, hand illustrations, unique fonts and then creating something new out of existing forms and words is like magic when you see it take shape. Sometimes I feel like a fashion designer as I see the strong shapes of letters gently pressed into thick cotton papers, the die cut shapes creating sexy silhouettes and then embellish with chains, stones or laser cut lace to accessorize for the big event.

With each custom invitation design I like to learn about the clients and who they are as a couple, as individuals, their quirks and unique traits to infuse into the design to make it representative of them and their individual style. Of course, customizing an invitation design that you fell in love with at first sight is quite a thrill, to see your name on the unique invitation you fell for, but shopping off the rack does leave the slight chance of bumping into another lady with your same dress on so to speak. For such treasured special events why not have a custom couture invitation designed especially for you… Ensuring that when you walk into a room  this will be one design no one else will have on. Let Alchemy work with you to design your custom invitations for the special events of your life. Whether is be a Holiday Party Invitation, a swank New Year’s Eve Party Invitation, that special 40th Birthday Party Invitation, Baby Shower Invitation or of course the biggest and most special day of your life, your Wedding Invitation.
