 Boho Glam Winter Wedding Table from the US Grant Bridal show
We recently created a design for the US Grant SWOON Bridal Show here in San Diego and was featured in the ‘winter’ ballroom. With a boho glam California winter wedding in mind, I created a free standing structure which I built and then mirrored to allow the ability to hang elements above a table whether it be in a ballroom or on a beach! With the panels being mirrored, it doesn’t block any views but really only enhances them by reflection.
To create the balance of boho, modern and glam at the same time, I wanted to infuse natural elements, fur, texture, shells and shine all together for a play on the senses. The talented Melissa from Pow Wow custom made this amazingly stunning macrame backdrop to order for this design, and of course can rent it for your wedding as well!
To create a zen-like feeling, I had a vision of having a floating centerpiece, so that no candles or flowers would touch the table but levetate above it. With our suspended shelves and low-profile softly hued floral arrangements by Isari Flower Studio we did just that.
For a luxurious start, we layered on custom fur place mats I designed on top of a lush leather table by Hire Elegance. We used a clean square china from Classic Party Rentals then we brought on gold and blue vintage-glam glasses, goldware & other magnificent table baubles by the lovely Farra at Hostess Haven.

You can now have a gorgeous wedding right here in San Diego, on our local sand. In March 2012, California State Beaches announced a very special permit process that makes on-beach weddings possible. Your day permit includes flexible use of your space, including tented events. There are areas perfect for all group sizes, from twenty to three hundred. Also, your permit includes permission to serve alcohol, and events may last through sunset and beyond!
Along with True Photography and a team of some of San Diego’s best, including our ladies at Isari Flower Studio, we can now offer you True Beach Weddings! To make planning your event as easy as possible, you can now select from San Diego’s top pre-approved beach event vendors, or create a customized all-inclusive package within minutes. This simplifies your vendor selection! There are no extra steps, or hoops to jump through, when planning your beach event.
All this, and the best coastal views in all of San Diego!
Our lovely bride and local surfer Shoshana wanted a casual beachy wedding with tropical inspiration, bold colors and unobstructed ocean views. Alchemy Fine Events was brought on for the event design and to pull together the look and layout along with this team of talent. We worked with Isari to create the look of these bold colorful blooms, textured greenery and eclectic shells which were scattered across glossy white Lounge Appeal tables as well as dark wood rustic tables by Concepts for a beautiful juxtaposition of styles for a beach-chic wedding.
 For a fun twist on a photo opp we were lucky enough to track down some gorgeous pieces of art created by local artist Cherrie La Porte! Cherrie creates glass mosiac surfboards that can be seen in the Surf Museum.
For fun and modern twist on a tropical inspired San Diego beach wedding we worked with Isari Flower studio to create fun and eclectic tablescapes with textured greens, ferns, wood boxes and scattered shells.

Destination to Celebration: An Intimate Chinese Wedding at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach Miami
Shanghai meets South Beach for a Chinese wedding
Happy Valentine’s Day to all! In honor of this day of love I wanted to share a wedding I designed for some of the most darling love birds. I love working with couples that are madly and deeply in love with each other and with their heritage, this was the case of Julia and Rendy. High school sweethearts that even work side by side, these two were so adorably young and in love and excited for me to plan their destination Chinese wedding. For the inspiration of this intimate affair we dreamed up the idea of 1940′s Bankgok with art deco influences with traditional Chinese elements. With that idea in mind, the art deco district of south beach, especially The Raleigh Hotel, in Miami was the perfect location!
For my first Chinese wedding, it was so cool for me to learn all about the traditions including the giving of gifts and Chinese tea ceremony which was so beautiful and respectful of their families.
